Stenocarpus angustifolius

Form and Size: A large shrub or small tree, 4-5m high

Distribution: Cape York, Qld.; in sandy granite creek beds of dry eucalypt forest

Leaves: Juvenile leaves narrowly divided; adult leaves narrowly lance-shaped, light green, 5-10cm long

Flowers: Creamy-white; borne in clusters in the leaf axils

Flowering Period: December to February

Fruit: Follicles, leathery, cylindrical, to 7.5cm long

Cultivation/Notes: Propagate from seed or cuttings
Grows in most soil types and would seem to prefer light shade
